I see a couple of other spotters have had bramblings in their gdns,I had a female one too.
Nothing seems to be eating the thistle seed, I put out about a month ago, I may try nyjer seed instead.
Fat cakes go like "hot kakes" and so dose my money forking out for them, so I've been keeping the empty trays and refilling them with my own fat,nut and seed mix..

"Anthropomorphism" is the application of human characteristics to animals or inanimate objects!
Your birds don't need miniature hot water bottles, they are perfectly adapted to life outdoors.
They may require a little help throughout the cold weather in terms of food and water but that's all.
I'd just like to take this opportunity to alert you all to the dangers of feeding hedgehogs with milk, regardless of Mr David Attenborough's progs... DO NOT PUT OUT SAUCERS OF MILK FOR HEDGEHOGS - THEY CANNOT DIGEST MILK AND IT MAY KILL THEM!

Azimov, sincerely hope that you are joking about the sparrows not needing hot water bottles because I had just decided to invest in some!! I was also going to make some little wooden beds with duvet covers and buy them some nice warm pyjamas!!
I never give hedgehogs milk - they come in and share my roast beef and yorkshire pudding!
