we have a ****** puppy he is 4months old he is paper trained.He has a ear infectiontion confirmed by a vet,before we took him he started to drink the his urine but only what leaked over the paper.He always hits the paper dead on this only happens when he has a large amount of pee. 2or 3 times a day usually I catch but don't want to inturupt his training or confuse him. Is he lacking something? Why does he do this?

Try distracting him as soon as he has finished peeing.

I would think he doesn't like to think he has missed the paper, and feels he should clear it up!

Not heard of this before - maybe someone else has?

Of course, he does have free access to water I presume (sorry, not meaning to insult you, just a thought).
