All our dogs have been rescues, it's so nice to give them a lovely life when they have been unhappy. You probably feel at the moment as if you can't love another dog, but you will, although there will never be another gyp. Look forward to finding a new friend and have wonderful times together.
Julian Clary wanted dogs put into room 101- because they don't live long enough and break your heart. I lost my 17 year old JRT last summer so know how you feel. We have since taken on another old boy approx 12 so some would say we're setting ourselves up for heartbreak all over again in the not too distant future. All I can say is you'd be paying your dog the the greatest compliment of all by giving another one a good loving home. It's a bit like having kids, when you have your second you don't have to share the love between the two you just find you've got twice as much.
