cuckoo call ?

According to the lyrics of an old song- "in june the cuckoo will change its tune" Any truth in this ? if so whats it sound like ?

Scroll down a bit ..there are two paragraphs about cuckoos.
A few years ago I had a dear little robin in the garden kicking up a storm and this went on for a couple of days and I kept seeing him fly into a corner of the garden.Got my binos out and lo and behold he was pandering to and feeding a cuckoo !

It goes kind of cuck cuck cuck cuckoo,like its got a stammer, so yes it is true.

Thanks Folks, I always thought it was true, rather than just for the convience of the rhyme, Simon and Garfuncel did a pretty good job with it. I'll be listening out for that st st stammer now. and thanks also for another site to add to my long list of favorites.
