Recently the goldfish in my pond have started chasing and pushing each other around the pond. They did not do this before and seemed to live together amicably. Is this a mating ritual?

My goldfish do that now and then, we have had loads of eggs recently. Apparently its something to do with the water which affects whether they're in a 'mood' or not. You'll probably find that they'll stop chasing each other before long.
Yep....they're spawning.....congrats on hearing the splashing of little fins !!!!
