Hailstones in May

Could hear it chucking it down about 7.30 this evening and couldn't believe it when I looked out of the window and saw it was hailstoning.! Anyone else seen this today?

yep, we've had hailstones, sleet & inbetween rain all day! at least the frogs in the pond on allotment are happy!

Hi spudqueen, yeah, I had them darn things pinging off my ears, whilst high tailing it to the car, and for once the dog was glad to jump in too!

According to the forecasts, it should be approximately the same weather all week. Just call mw a ray of sunshine.

Didn't see the hailstones but there was a sprinkling of fresh snow on the Pennines this morning.
