Slow Worms
3 Answers
This is not really a question - just a comment
We have a whole load of slow worms in our garden (Somerset) - is this rare ?
I know that they eat slugs but our cats are taking a keen interest in them and I am worried that the cats may harm them ...
Are they a "protected species" ?

The cat may well kill one if it's a bit of a hunter though
