Slow Worms
1 Answers
We have lots of slow worms in our garden in Somerset - which I want to encourage because last year we had a large number of slugs - however out cats are finding them extremely interesting and keep bringing them into the house (as presents for us ?) - my wife hates them, I love them (in the garden) - has anyone got any ideas how to put the cats off playing with them ?
So far - They have been unharmed !!

The only thing I can think of is try to keep a wild area in your garden with plenty of hiding places for them, so they have more chance of being undetected, the prefered habitat is lush vegitation, a log pile or rock pile, where the cats cant get would be ideal, or even a dry-stone wall. Other than that try and show lack of interest and dissapproval when the cats bring them in, without actually scolding them, easier said than done, I know! Good Luck.
