Is their anything else you can use other than flea shampoo to iradicte this little problem from kittens.
My new kitten is riddled with fleas and i'm worried he may become sick, I dnt want to use the flea drops as he is only 7 weeks old and the flea shampoo makes him sore.
We have wormed him and bathed him and changed his diet as he is already a sickly kitten as he was taken away from his mother too early so we rescued him.
The last thing I want is to make him worse off.
Any idea's would be a great help.
We are currently waiting to take him to the vets but would love a solution in the mean time.

The flea treatment you buy in the shops etc have a very low success rate, cheaper in the long run to get the correct stuff from the vets.
Yep, a flea comb will work in the meantime!
Poor kitten!
How did the kit pick up the fleas? From another cat or from outside? Don't forget to treat the house as well as treating the animal - only 5% of a flea population is on the animal at any one time, the rest are in the environment (ie the house/garden!)

Thanx for some great idea's,
We already have 2 other cats and they are clean from fleas, but just incase they have all been treated we have ripped up the livingroom carpets and binned the bedding hopefully we shouldn't have any more problems.
We believe the Kitten (which is now named Phantom) picked up the flea's from being kicked outside pretty much stright away.
Again a big thank for all imput
