Anyone else got a problem with their cats being able to open cat flaps from the inside - by pulling them inwards - when they are "supposedly" locked (to outgoing cats) - what is the solution ?

I've got one of these "two way" cat flaps and once it's on 'incoming only' my two can get in but can't go back out !
but I always give it a little push to make sure it's closed.
Unless it's faulty you've got a clever cat there Steve !! Try taping a piece of paper over the opening. I tried that when next doors cat was trying to visit, it did the trick although mine were a bit confused.

The door is closing properly
one cat (Female : typical) - taught the other two (males) how to use their claws under the edge of the flap to pull it inwards to open it.......
It took them a few days to master - but they can go in and out as they like now - when the flap is supposed to be in only
i'm the same, my 3 have learnt to pull it open and barge into it the other way. so now it doesnt work as an in/out flap.

Maybe I need to contact the manufacturors to ask them ?
Hi, I have the same problem, my eldest cat " MILLIE " learnt to do this months ago, we have new additions to our family and we have to be really on guard because 1 of the little ones managed to follow her while she was on her way out, sneaky eh! After what happen to my dearest "MERLIN" back in May against everything I believed in of letting cats having their freedom I'm bringing the 2 new kittens up as house cats, I just couldn't go through that heart ache again. X X X :-)

Our female cat (the one who can pull the flap inwards) - has just learnt how to turn the wheel to get out
I have had to jam a large screw in the outside to keep them in - we have workmen laying concrete at the moment and I don't want feline statues ..!!!!!....
we have this problem so i cut a piece of hardboard to fit the hole and now wedge this in at night so no one can get out the only thing is i have to wait for them all to come in at night before i can go to bed
