Only in as much that it is a good cleanser, ideal if you have an injury or suffer a skin complaint, but salt in the bath is better than in the sea as there is a lot of things in the sea that you wouldn't want in a wound.

And despite whats been said over the years, table salt is as good for you as any of these other salts you can buy from health food shops etc.
A soak in bath-water to which salt has been added is often recommended after surgery has left a wound that hasn't yet healed. Some other benefits have been described here.
Its supposed to help with sore throats too - gargling with salt water. never understood it myself, always served to make me vomit and my sore throat increase!
