I got a little mongrel rescue dog at the end of May. (Possibly whippet, smooth black white collie, labrador, staffordshire terrier....!) He has thinnish fur especially in his armpit areas and groin. He had a tiny red mark on his groin when we got him (I thought it was a cigarette mark) which turned into a larger reddish/ orange mark about half and inch long. When I got back from holiday (he was with friends and other dogs for 2 weeks) this mark had a scab on top, which has been there since we collected him on Saturday. The area around the scab is pinkish and very bare, and today looks to be raised. Does this sound like skin cancer? He is only about 2 or 3 years old. He also has other perfectly circular raised black moles in the same area. Thanks for any advice.
