Cat allergy

My wife is allergic to the cat. Brings her out in athsma-like symptons. I heard about a preparation that is applied to the cat to combat this - anyone had any success?

I have always had cats and I seem to be allergic to the very fluffy ones. Ive never heard of any prepararations, but I think there can be a de-sensitising element to this.Maybe giving him a good brush every day may help, or maybe theres some homeopathic cure. Try looking on the net for that. I know they are working on an asthma injection but I think it may be a few years off yet.
