Dilema Bike or Car
Just want peoples opinions - I work in Thornbury and currently commute with my boss in his car the journey entails going on the M5 motorway. I don`t like relying on him and have decided i need to get my own transport.
I will probably only use the vehicle once, twice a week, just if there are any problems. So should i get a car, or a small bike. Being totally honest i`m petreffied about going on the motorway - i did a couple of years ago have a scooter for messing about on. So that`s my dilema - obviously a small bike would be cheaper to run and to insure - but probably not as safe as a car.
Would love to know peoples opinions

You would need a M/bike that is powerful enough to pass trucks that can be doing up to 70mph in pouring rain throwing up blinding spray, that can be quite exciting, you would not get wet at all if you are wearing the right clothes.
To get the right bike, (a bigger powerful one is a lot more stable than a scooter) proper training and clothes would cost more than getting a cheap car.

if you are not a biker already, then you will hate the cold hands (yes, even with gloves on!) and getting slush sprayed up your legs in winter. not to mention getting to your destination in waterproofs and having to get changed and sort out your 'helmet-hair'!
if you are a biker, then you will probably grow to hate motorcycling cos it always seems to rain if you get the bike out! keep it for a weekend.
