I've been called a dinosaur a few times but it's like water off a stegosaurs buack, you get to be pretty thick skinned ;-)
Right, now the clowns have got their funnies out of the way.....there are many examples of animals still alive today which were around 60 million years ago. A couple of examples are the crocodile/alligator, dragonfly and the coelecanth ( scuse spelling....a prehistoric fish)

are Komodo dragons not like dinosaurs. They are pretty frightening looking, their saliva is poisonous. They are big horrible things, not at all cuddly and lovable.

there are however many animals around that were here at the same time as the dinosaurs; ants, dragonflies and indeed our friend the Shark, to name a few.
yes birds are dinosaurs,,only the other day i saw a 8foot budgie in asda,,,,,,and theres one on sesame street,,,
