Only the Airedale and the Australian Terrier are in the Terrier group in the UK. There is also an Australian Silky Terrier but this is actually in the Toy group.

There are also several breeds beginning with 'American' such as American Staffordshire Bull Terrier and American Pitbull Terrier, and others that are not recognised in the UK.

The Aberdeen Terrier is rarely called that nowadays, it is called the Scottish Terrier.
