we have had the same pair of wood pigeons visiting our garden for 3 years, until about a month ago when they suddenly stopped coming.

instead we have had a pair of feral pigeons visiting, just wondering whether they've gone away because of the feral pigeons or is that unlikely?

Don't worry boo, it's nothing to do with the feral pigeons.

Since the beginning of November 10's of thousands of Wood Pigeons have been spotted on the south coast on their way to the continent in search of better food sources. To give you an idea of just how many we're talking about - 74,000 were counted over Durlston in Dorset and 81,000 the next day!! This is just in 2 days, many more are holidaying, but there are still some who prefer to winter here.
