Of course he did! He'd obviously seen how well calves thrived by doing so, as well as how his own offspring did after suckling their human mothers. So, he knew perfectly well that the liquid was nourishing and thought, "I'll 'ave some o' that!"
... and it was his cousin that walked down the beach one day, spotted an oyster, popped it open, viewed the gelatinous mass and said, "I'll 'ave some o' that!" (With apologies to Q and without the Cockney accent if he happened to have been a resident of Pago Pago, in which case I'm unfamiliar with the accents for Fa'a Samoa...)
i have cows you can come and watch me milk them , their names are brandy and dominic
Fared better than the other cousin, who was the first person to discover that toadstools are the poisonous ones and mushrooms are not!!
