what size plastic container should i use

Hi hammerman, thanks for your awnser i`m running my tank with an external filter and u\g filter with a 402 power head i intend to use a small sub pump to run the trickle filter if this is possible how big should the container be. many thanks. scoucer.

That should be fine. The container can be as big or as small as you like....anything from a small chinese takeawat dish to a large tuppaware container. Have a look around the supermarkets for some of the lunch box containers.

Just remember that the water going into the container via the pump will have to go in via a spraybar to make sure all the water is well distributed over the media.
