Sqirrels

Does anyone know of a way of stopping squirrels eating the heads of my roses. We have three climbing roses and they have practically eaten every rosehead . I put a nut feeder up to discourage them but not only do they eat all the nuts in the feeder they still eat the roses.

I'm afraid I can't help you out there, squirrels can be right little beggars! HOwever, surely putting a nut feeder up will only encourage them to that area?

Paint them with tabasco sauce, or dust chilli powder on them.

One taste of that, and they'll never go near another rose again - and it does them no permanent harm.
