Dog and cats...

Im getting my dog neutered this month, but he has always had a strange thing for cats!
With a couple of my cats, he gets rather excited when they nuzzle up against him or cuddle him and he tries to mount them!
Just wondering if this is normal for a dog?

There are people on here who have more knowledge than I do, so they may be able to give you better advice.
I can only say that my last dog was a male and he did this to people as well as animals.
Once he was neutered, I had no problems with that at all.
Do not worry too much the day he has surgery. My female Westie was spayed two weeks ago and now bouncing around as usual.
