Someone I know is thinking of getting 2 Maine **** cats, but they will probably have to be house cats as they live in central London. Has anyone any experience of these, would they make good house cats ?

I have three cats one of them is a m/c they are wonderful cats so loving and gentle they make good indoor cats and because of their nature would have no problems ,my other two tend to bully a little bit if given the chance, but he is my baby and goes to bed whilst the other two guard the landing at night,he sometimes ventures outside but likes his comfort too much and prefers the settee lol. He will still need all his injections ect for all he does not go out pedigrees are soon to catch things as you will know.good luck to your pal he/she will not regret it.
pps as regards the name..stupid I know..Its their name for goodness sake.
A lady down the road has got more than 20 cats,i think around 8 of them are m/cs.All her cats are able to go out but the m/cs tend to stay indoors.I do see them occassionally, shes got a beautiful silver tipped one.
Our nextdoor neighbour has two and they are very affectionate and behave more like a dog and follow you around. They don't like to go out very much and their miaow is different to an ordinary cat. They do need grooming a lot as their fur gets matted. If I was to have one myself that's the one I would definitely get.
