dog can't wee properly

my 14 year old bitch strains to wee and passes drops each time. she also has trouble pooing. she's been treated for cystitis and remains the same. the vet is asking for a urine sample and we can't get one.

Has your vet cleared her anal glands. The reason I ask is cos one of our dogs had similar symptoms and a good clear plus anti biotics cleared it up fast!! Good luck.
