Moving House
6 Answers
My 10 year old cat is moving house with me. How long should I keep it confined in the house before I can be sure it will not return to my old home. Should I exercise it in the garden to get it used to it's new surroundings. Any help will be appreciated.

I would leave your cat indoors for two to three weeks if possible let him/she have a window view so he/she gets used to outside .I would not let your kitty out in the garden, something could upset the situation ie.loud bang..another cat... car back firing any of these things could make the cat bolt. Im sure if you keep him/her confind for two to three weeks you will have no problems.Good Luck and I hope kitty settles well.g.
Hi perose,
We kept our cat in for the time stated by garner :) and also? I did walk her up and down the garden lol and just spent time with her in the garden too..... but.... she is a very attached cat, not so adventurous these days.....
She used to disappear off for days when she was younger and caused many a ulcer lol.....
Good Luck on your new adventures :)
