damn cat

wekll as you all know ive semi adopted a cat , called him ginger.
he comes to the shop n gets fed.
he sometimes lies in the window of the sex boutique.
amyway.
this afternoon hes had his first kill.

yes a poor dove , or palmito.
got it by the throat n dragged it into the bushes.
hes got blood allover his face and hes rolling about like a crazed tiger
ripping feathers off and spitting them out.
now i tried to get the half dead bird offf of ghim.
but he scarpered bird in mouth.

hes been fed twice today yet hes chewing away on this poor bird.

i know its normal as hes a cat but still not nice to see.
anyone had this prob themselves?

Yep. I had a couple of cats that got hold of an entire nest of baby birds and thye were throwing them in the air and playing with them like no tomorrow and generally having a whale of a time. You just leave 'em to it.

Anyone who has been owned by a cat will be familiar with this probably (unless the cat never goes outside).I had one cat called Willow that used to attack dogs given half a chance,she never killed and ate one to my knowledge though.

when i lived at home my parents cats used o often leave us treats on the back step on a morning after spending the nite hunting...treats been treats to them and not us...half dead baby rabbits,birds mice etc need i go on....but i have never seen 1 been killed or in the process of cnt imagine u fancy ur tea afta that...i certainly wudnt!

The male of the two cats I had used to see foxes off. Only time I ever saw him run from a fight was against one of those great danes. And boy did he run!

Its the one thing I hate about cats but its in their nature and thats that. A safety collar with a bell helps a little but its about all you can do,

The only thing my cats used to kill were spiders. Which I didnt particulary mind as I hate the little whatnots! lol

Nature of the beast sweetie....
The cat used to bring in baby birds to eat and now the dog brings them in very gently and places them down.... we keep the vet busy lol

My two cats are far too old and lazy now to go hunting but the cat next door catches something everyday, moles, mice, magpies and the other day I happened to spot a squirrel being chased by this cat...happily the squirrel got away.
