They will continue to grow if the rabbit doesnt get the opportunity to wear them down or they are not clipped, the nails will eventually grow until they grow back into the poor rabbits feet causing extreme pain.

The same can actually happen to rabbits teeth if the teeth dont wear down naturally, badly aligned teeth for instance.
