What kind of purr

does your cat have???.....mine sounds like a little kid with a snotty nose!!! I have never heard anything quite like it.

Frankie and Merlin have normal purrs.

But when they are talking to me they sound more like guinea pigs - high pitched screech.

Does he snore? My last cat, George, snored like a cement mixer. I used to have to prod him awake - I could even hear him if he was down stairs.

Hi Wolf....the 'baby' is 9 months old now-and still growing by the looks of it! ...No-he doesn't snore...but Cleo did. What a noise!!

Mine have fairly normal purrs but Daisie is very loud. She also snores a lot too. However she has a strange little squeak of a miaow which sounds odd from such a big cat.
Flossie on the other hand has a very loud miaow especially in the early hours of the morning!

my Caspar-tho he is deaf...will shout the house down....if he can't find me,all i can hear is...wow-wowwww...wow,wow,wowwwww

Flossie is going deaf due to old age which is why she makes so much noise according to the vet.

I have two cats, which are twin sisters. One of them is incredibly loud and you can hear her purrs from downstairs! (Note I live in an open plan house) the other isn't as purr worthy but is very noisy and vocal. Infact they both are very vocal and 'talkative'. Purrs are deep and purr like though, nothing scary!

Molly my 14 year old sounds like a motorbike, very very loud., but Cobweb, he doesn`t purr, oh no, thats for girls, he just struts his stuff and looks down hs nose at everybody.When he wants something though, he wails like an air raid siren.

hau kola - air raid siren would explain Frankie's noises when wanting food -"wowowowowowow" with little claws digging into my arms and legs.

pasta - just wait until wee Caspar is both deaf and senile. Fun!
