Chicken hurt in film Papillon
101 Answers
Watched this film on DVD and I am sure a chicken is badly injured when a soldier falls on it.
What do you think ?
I thought this type of thing was not allowed in film making.

What i'm getting at is that whilst it does (and probably is) seem hypocritical of me saying all this as I do eat meat, and not allways free range, I still can't and wont find anything like this remotely funny.

Because BOO, if you truly feel that the welfare of children is equal to that of chickens, then you're a bit scary.
I never buy battery chicken produce. I only buy eggs and chickens from a farm shop, so I know that they are treated as well as they can be.
But I think most people would hope to value their children's welfare just a teeny bit higher than that of a chicken.

Exactly, nagy nag nat.
4get. How can you say one thing about it not mattering how they are treated because they are killed in the end and then say what you have just said to BOO?
The Chickens in chicken sheds are treated appallingly and have dreadful lives and hundreds are lost through injury. How anybody can support this and still eat factory farmed chickens amazes me.

Ok I'm back, but not to argue, so please stop with the exclamation marks you're scaring me BOO :-) Loftie Because I cant afford to eat free range chicken. I just by chicken and chicken is a kind of luxury in my flat with the money I get. And I didnt finf humour in the video I found humour in the post. Doesnt mean I would do that to a chicken but it happens as I know from my poor chicken.
LoftyL, it must take you ages to get anywhere.
I can't drive far without passing squirrels, rabbits, hedgehogs, the odd badger, mice, birds, foxes, all sorts of things on the road, or in the road. I don't stop to check them all out.
But if I saw a little child on the roadside in a pool of blood, I think I might pull over.
And I'm not sure our local vet would be too keen if I turned up every day with box loads of injured vermin.

LOL Joggerjayne. No I don't stop if things are obviously dead or in the throws of obviously dying (which where I live would be every 5 yards). However, if I see an injured animal suffering in the road (and I can safely stop) then I do and if necessary would put an end to it's suffering if necessary. I did take a duck to the vet once because it was walking backwards!! It had concussion and they treated it and released it the next day!!
