What help do you want? Sounds like she's pregnant - I hope you've already found homes for the kittens. Get her spayed as soon as she's finished nursing them (why didn't you get her "done" earlier? You wouldn't have had this problem. Take her to the vet & they will tell you how far gone she is. Please don't say you can't afford the vet - there are so many people on here who post about pregnant cats & say they can't afford the vet. For Heaven's sake, why get a pet in the first place, if you can't afford to keep it healthy? Sorry, susan007, that wasn't aimed at you, I just get fed up at folk posting to say their cat is pregnant & what should they do. I'm sure you care about your girl and it may have been that she's got out when in season before you've had a chance to get her spayed. It sounds too late to abort the babies now, so pop to the vet's, get advice and let us know how many she has. (My little stray that I took in had 8 - she's now spayed!!) OK, rant over (sorry!!) K xx
Oh dear, you have been hung drawn a quartered and all you did was ask for help. Think back and see if you can remember a change in her temperament, they usually get very 'flirty' and start 'calling,' meowing in a different way, she would have been quite persistent with it, if you can't remember then don't worry, of course take her to the vet if you are concerned in any way, start putting boxes with warm bedding in, around the house, when she gets close to giving birth she will start looking, when you see where she pays a lot of attention put a box, it's not a guarantee that she will use what you have provided, I put 5 boxes dotted about my house and my cat had 5 lovely kittens in the bottom of my sons bedroom cupboard. See if you can buy a good book to guide you, this one is very good.

Forgot to add, gestation is between 60-67 days, good luck.
just before she has her kittens she will start looking for a nest/birthing place, making it comfy etc, just keep an eye on her and she will be fine. good luck, its quite traumatic for you and her if its your first time, expect to be up all night.

Hi, susan, I hope you read my other answer to your other post! I really didn't mean to offend you, I just get a bit concerned about the number of pregnant cats there are. I'm glad you're so fond of your little cat & I'm sure you'll give her the best of care for the rest of her pregnancy. I took in a little stray 3 years ago, who had been abandoned, pregnant, by her owners. She gave birth to 8 kittens (all healthy) in our caravan in the field and I homed 6 of them and kept 2. I now have the "honour" of being "owned" by 5 cats. I kept the mother too and she and her youngsters have joined my two old ladies (sisters) and 2 dogs. They all get on reasonably well (Jugglering, I sympathise!) and are an absolute joy, although a bit of a tie if I want to go away!
Illyria, you took me wrong - I really didn't mean to sound so harsh, so I apologise to susan and to you. Susan, best of luck & let us know how many she has, won't you? K x
That's ok Kleiber no need to appologise, I know where you are coming from.
Cheers, Illyria
shortly before birth the cat will start to pluck hair from around the nipples, provided the pregnancy is going well.
also, if youre broke try pet sanctuaries or charities, i got help with spaying and vet bills!
