Don`t read this if you are squeamish........but I bet you do.
To-day whilst sitting in my garden I had a very traumatic experienced whilst enjoying the unusual yellow warm thing in the sky. Allowing my gaze to wander around the flower borders I perceived a birds wing lying on the lawn minus it`s body, and believing the poor creature had been consumed by a cat I put it in the compost bin and went back to my seat to once again enjoy a summers afternoon relaxing in the meagre sunshine and listening to the hum of the bees pollinating and doing what bees do, when looking up to a neighbour's apple tree I saw them............two eyes peering down at me and as still as a rock,........... yes, .......it was a one wing pigeon frozen in fear as a huge black cat sidled slowly along a branch to-ward it. I was transfixed, unable to take my eyes off a the horror about to take place. What should I do? Should I try and scare the cat away, or let nature have it`s cruel outcome? The pigeon watched as sure death approached and it hung it`s little head to one side as if to say "Make it quick,....please" and with that it fell off it`s perch........ and I never saw anymore.
