I have one of each - both rescued. There's a bit of rivalry. Jealousy, mainly from the pooch, but if he hears the cat screech, he's the first one there to help defend him!

Of course! I have a Simese/Tabby mix and a Pit Bull/Collie/??? mix and my 9 lbs cat has my 187 lbs dog whipped! lol They get along great. You just have to train them but uselly if the puppy bothers the kitten it will eventually get tired of it and fight back and the puppy probably won't mess with the cat anymore...

does sound cute. i am a cat person until my bf insisted to get a puppy, but we are thinking in the future either get a cat or another dog to keep her acompany.

Absolutely!! I've got a 9yr old GSD bitch and 2 10yr old cats, who adore each other. They've been together all their lives.
