FAO Rosetta - Cat travel to Vets
5 Answers
Hello Rosetta,
Just read your comment about Sally on oldest cat thread.
I had the same problem with one of my tom-cats. Loved the vet, hated the journey. I bought a Feliway spray, as it recommended spraying Feliway into the 4 corners of the cat travelling box a couple of minutes before popping the cat in it, to take said cat to see the vet. It used to be quite a battle to get Frankie into the carrier. But I'm pleased to say the Feliway worked, and now no problem. I thought it might be an idea to help Sally feel more comfortable about the travelling. Schutz.

Just in case no one else knows what it is as I wasn't sure what it was so had to google it!

Thanks Schutzengel and eash, what a good idea, I will definitely try that. I thought she was getting a bit better but when she got to the vets yesterday she was shivering poor little thing. We do all we can to make her comfortable during the car journey but she took one look at the carrier yesterday and was all for legging it.
She has an enlarged heart and is on daily medication so she can do without the stress. (Fortunately the medication has kept her stable for 2 or 3years). She is supposed to go every 3months for a review but while she is so well I tend to stretch it out by a few weeks where I can.
She loves the nice lady vet, and we can get her purring as soon as she is there so the Feliway will do the trick nicely
Many thanks again

Why I disappeared I don't know though I was trying to post on a thread in CB and was having problems. Maybe I overposted.
Thanks for the thread reporting me missing in action, but that seems to have gone now.
They say women of a certain age, which I am, become invisible but I didn't think it was literal.
Many thanks again for your suggestion for Sally
