so it's been almost two months now that i have completely altered the way i go about my days. I have been so determined to lose these extra thirty pounds i have put on in the past year. I went from 120 to 155 in just one year and i actually eat better now and excersize more!! i dont get that but anyways...im wondering if im doing something wrong because i am just not losing weight at all!! I eat SUPER healthy. a normal day for me consists of small portions of oatmeal in the morning, a piece of fruit 2 hours later, tuna with nothing but mustard on it for lunch, yogurt with flaxeed 2-3 hrs later and for dinner i have lean meat and a vegetable...never any dessert. and i work out about 5 times a week now. monday/wednesday i play tennis for 2 hours and walk the beach with friends, tuesday-thurs i have an aerobics class and a pilates class at my college and on the weekends i swim laps and ride bikes as much as possible. and i take all the right vitamins--->flaxeed oil, fish oil, multi vitamin, vitamin c, etc. i have actually gone up 5 lbs. im only 18 years old!!! losing wieght shouldn't be this hard!! any tips??
It's perfectly possible that you have lost fat, but gained muscle, which actually weighs more.
Looking at your regime and diet, it is highly unlikely that you are carrying excess body fat - have a look at yourself, do you look flabby and out of shape? I doubt it!
It may be that this is the weight you are going to be - but if you look and feel healthy, I simply wouldn't worry about a figure of pounds - enjoy being healthy and feeling good.
Agree completely with andy. How tall are you? Get your body-fat percentage and cholesterol checked and focus on those numbers rather than your weight. If you feel good and can physically do any activity you want to do, then your weight is appropriate. (Also, if your diet is healthy money spent on multi-vitamins is probably wasted - although I understand many may disagree).
