Making Cat Hair Jumper.

After grooming our two long haired Ragdolls, my wife said imagine haqving a jumper made of the hair.
I said if she collected enough of it, to equal the weight of a normal woolly jumper, she could send it off to a mill and get it spun and knitted into a jumper.
We're not going to do this, but now the questions are coming thick and fast.
1)Who would spin the yarn and knit the jumper.
2)What would it cost?
3)Has anybody ever done this?

It can be done, I know people who have had jumpers made from their dog hair. I found this site although it is in the US but I have asked on my dog group for anyone who does it in this country so will let you know.

My anty spins the wool that she has combed off her rabbits. She cards it, then spins it into wool on her spinning wheel.

wow these are cool i have 3 cats and the malt like crazy if i collect it maybe i can have a lovely teddy made from there fur :)
