FAO All Frankie's supporters. I've left a message on the original thread. He's snoring away in his basket just now. Love to everyone. Schutz.

Although he has used his toilet, he hasn't yet done No.2, the vet said it could be up to 5 days before we see a result, because the food he's having is special high protein, and low residue, to give the join in the bowel chance to heal before it has to start working again. Frankie is sleeping most of the time, and seems comfortable, but not interested in being awake for more than a few minutes. I have to keep an eye on when he wakes to give him a small amount of food as often as possible, so I've already found out what hard work it is looking after an invalid cat. Will let you know how things progress. Love Schutz.
I was telling a cat loving friend about poor weeFrankie. We both agreed that we would be devestated if anything happened to our little ones.
Then I chirped up - "If anybody is going to kill Frankie (my Frankie) it is going to be me". I ought to engage my brain before speaking - but at two in the morning when the moron has fallen off the clothes horse and is screaming coz he got a fright I am less than loving towards him.
I am sure that it won't be long before your Frankie is driving you nuts too - a good sign that he is back to normal.
:-)

Oh!!! Wolf. Two in the morning, I'll bet you said a few choice words to your Frankie. What was Princess Merlin doing while this was all going on. A few smacks with her massive paws should sort him out. But that's cats for you, and we love them just the same. I could just imagine him howling the place down. :-) love Schutz.
Icemaiden. So you did, and if I had taken notice of you in the first place I probably wouldn't have got so stressed out. I will let you know how he is when I get back from work tomorrow. I work just Wednesdays in the bookshop for my boss, and the rest of time I work for him from home. So tomorrow my husband is in charge, but I'll be able to feed Frankie and give him his tablets before I leave, and the same when I get back again. So husband only has to feed Frankie at lunch time, and keep an eye on him during the day, but I imagine I won't be able to concentrate very well when I'd rather be home with Frankie while he's poorly. I wouldn't like to let my boss down, as he is very good, unless it was a dire emergency. I'll probably survive, but be glad when it's teatime. love Schutz.
Hello Everybody, just got back from work, and husband has done a good job of looking after Frankie. He even managed to pick Frankie up and nurse him on his knee for about half an hour. And guess what, Frankie purred for the first time since last Wednesday (a whole week), so things are beginning to look up at last. Frankie is fast asleep again, and will be having his tea as soon as he wakes up.
Thank you, one and all. Looking forward now to Frankie's next visit to the vet, next Tuesday, 5th May, and hope he'll be much better by then. Will let you know any improvements. Love Schutz.
