thinking of starting a new business - jewelery for pets! Just wondering what sort of market we might expect for crystal and hand crafted silver 'collars' (for decoration only!!). would people be interested if they were offered something this and how much might you be willing to pay (starting around London area - if this makes a difference??)
No, my cat loses his collar every time I put one on him he comes home without it. If they were for decoratve purposes then I'm pretty sure it's probably already been done, and why would somebody want jewel encrusted dog collar? Just my view anyway, but good luck and I wouldn't personally pay very much, but then I probably wouldn't buy them.
There was a shop in the King's road, chelsea that had stuiff like this, it didn't last a year...Places like Harrods do already do things. Sorry the disappoint you
Sorry, but I certainly don't believe in decorating my pets. I think it may go down well among certain people, i.e. those that decorate themselves as well with loads of jewellery.
Errr no, my dog has a 30" neck and I have to have his collars specially made as it is. Don't think he would have much dignity if he wore jewllery. He does have a magnet sewn into his collar though.
You can get a lot of stuff like this on the internet now and I have seen many different stores that sell simular things. I must admit my cat always lost his collar. But I have noticed that this type of business is more of a 'rich' peoples business. You know celebs etc... Always things like this featured in celeb mags. It may be worth looking into further. But as I say it isn't a unique market anymore.
Why not make the collars for humans instead? There are a lot of people interested in fetish issues who would buy them, and at the cheaper end of the range goths and teenagers would buy them.
