This vet left his two Labs in a car for six hours. One died. RSPCA refused to prosecute. RCVS refuse to take any action. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/artic le6638196.ece So it is OK to leave dogs in cars to die - as long as you are a vet!! What sort of message does this send out to people!

The RSPCA quite often sit on the fence with cases like this. I phoned them once to tell them there was a dog loose on a main road, expecting them to come and catch it to avoid it being injured or killed or itself causing an accident as people swerved to avoid it, and after waiting 25 minutes for them to answer, they told me and I quote to 'phone back when it gets hit'.

This is exactly the sort of case where they should be standing up for the animals no matter what the profession of the idiot who caused their suffering (ie. vet or policeman) but they always sit on the fence - which is precisely why I stopped donating money to them.
