So lately I have a strange habbit of pushing orange peel up my nose. It all comes back out eventually but is there any health risks associated with this?

just the peel?
-- answer removed --
polter...yes.

I tried to get a guy who had been pilloried by a gang of ABers, to rethink abandoning the AB, but the gang started all over again and me, the questioner was banned.
I suppose anyone pushing any foreign object up their nose risks damaging the delicate nose lining, deviating the septum and inhaling the object by accident...and possibly choking to death.
polter...please excuse the other posters, as my original answer is far too clever and intellectual for them.
but no one said he's been tango'd, Sqad.

you're such a bore these days!
Oi Sqad...my answer was quite sensible! ;-)
daffy...yes.........I suppose so.

As an ENT surgeon (retired) this is the perfect question for you to answer Sqad. You could baffle poor poltergeist with medical jargon for hours.lol

how can you choke on something small enough to fit through your nostril. could you choke on a sugar puff?
poltergeist,

1) why?

2) when my daughter was about 7 she stuck a large seed up her nose. they couldn't find it at the hospital, and sent her home telling me to keep an eye on her overnight, as it could be moving down to her lungs.
Question Author
what sort of seed was it?
pmsl at the original question.
Poltergeist - I've laughed at a lot of things on AB today, but this one has made me titter for a full 9 minutes & 46 seconds.

I have a similar craving/habit in that I like to push peashoots in my ears. They come out also if I hold my nose and push hard, but that makes a bit of wee come out as well (not from my ears).

My daughter protests at this as the peashoots are really quite inedible afterwards, even if I wash them. So I try not to indulge in this habit too often.

but, Polt, I sympathise.
Foreign objects inhaled into the lungs can cause all sorts of problems. There may be no lasting damage at all but why risk it?
Sal, almost really PMSL!

Poltergeist, I don't know, a small round hard thing that she picked up in the school playground.

2 days later she sneezed and it appeared in a glob of snot. nice.
Last night I was trying to get ginger to eat pate....he then grabbed the pate and stuck it up both my nostrils, much to the kids amusement.

Hey....it made breathing in more pleasurable.....
OMG salla PMSL
