I have often read that you should never laugh when your cat does something that makes it look silly and not like the god that it is. Falling off shelves, leaping from a bed onto the top of a TV and slamming into the side of the TV, getting caught up in the cords of the venetian blinds etc

The reason, it says, that you should not laugh is because the feline monster will seek revenge.

Has anybody been the victim of such revenge attacks?

(My little Princess Merlin likes to sit on top of the portable TV - she is pretty clumsy and stupid though..................).

the little darlings get their own back when you least expect it, not today, not tomorrow....
they have better memories than elephants :)
the odd time when you think it's safe to defrost the prawns.
the time when they "can't" get to the litter tray and you put your foot in it, revenge attacks.
still, you wouldn't be without 'em
Not revenge as such as my cat did not feel the need to wait for me to do anything wrong before teaching me a lesson, she used to hide behind a corner wall and jump out at me when I was walking down the corridor. She would wrap her paws round my legs, give me a gentle bite and then shoot off down the hallway triumphantly. She did this regularly and obviously enjoyed herself, but I am not sure what I did to deserve it! Probably just by daring to breathe too loudly in her presence....

Bare legs are a source of great fascination for Caspar......and he knows how to use his teeth
Don't have a cat now but can still remember when I was a kid and we had a ginger cat called Nicky. He was an evil little devil, friends refused to come and play at my house because he attacked them-he called it playing! I can clearly recall the day he took a flying leap at the fish tank, just after my mum had taken the lid off because she was about to clean it, the expression on his face as he climbed out, soaking wet, with his ears flat will remain with me forever!
