Irritated Cat
1 Answers
My older female has been acting really weird. I am fairly sure she was stung by a wasp on Sunday (I called the vets who said to monitor her breathing but she can't be given steroids because she has renal failure). Since then she has been acting really strange. Her fur and ears twitch as if something is irritating her and then she shoots off, then two minutes later she is biting her feet or attacking her side as if she has an infestation of something. I've had a good look and I can't see anything and she was frontlined on Sunday.

Our dog acts just like this when she has been through stinging nettles and we have to give her antihistamine tablets to settle her down. Dogs can take human Piriton tablets. I have no idea about cats. It may be a good idea to contact the vets again and have a word with them about it.
