Our Jack Russell keeps on biting and licking a small patch on the upper part of one of his back legs, and it makes an ugly little mark . Just when we think its getting better he goes and makes it worse again. Any suggestions please?

Could be an allergic reaction to food or pollen. May be a hot spot? Have you spoken to the vet?
You can get Bitterbite from your vet or from http://www.petplanet.co.uk/shop_store/P_and_G_Bitter_Bite_p0957.html
It's very effective but I wouldnt use it on an openwound. We had a dog who constantly chewed the base of his tale - as it healed, it itched so he chewed it some more. We put up with buster collars for months until the vet suggested this.
