Just received this rare & moving video from a friend, of an Elephant giving birth & thought I'd share it with you....

I was really worried at first too NOK & ummmm, but then thankfully, her Motherly instintcs took over, or should I say kicked in!

I watched it twice as I thought it was fascinating.

Good video, but it must take a while to clear up the mess aterwards!!!
My oh would probably pass out if he saw the video....rather like he did at the birth of our son-I didn't even want him there but he insisted on being present. :-(

Yeah, I was cringing when the Mother was booting the poor little thing about, in fact I was gingerly watching it through my fingers up to my face!

A Mother's instints are amazing though, 'specailly in the animal kingdom!

My husband wasn't allowed in the labour room either time, back in the mid/late 60's - I don't think he could have handled it either daffy, bless him!
