Frog Spawn
5 Answers
We made a pond in the garden last year, and I've just noticed we have frog spawn. We also have a few goldfish and a couple of small koi. Do fish or any other water dwellers eat frog spawn...or tadpoles eventually, should I move the spawn to a very small pond which has no fish in it, or is it a case of the survival of the fittest? As I'm very new to the world of garden ponds, so any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

My neighbour has just told me he was amazed to see a blackbird helping herself to his tadpoles last year. How long does it take before this year's frogs return to mate in the pond, assuming some to survive the big bad world out there?
