Is a crow or magpie or both strong enough to fly while carrying an empty soup tin (lid removed) in its beak?

A crow can carry an item up to its own bodyweight while flying (about 1lb), a magpie less as it has a different flying tackle. So yes, I agree that an empty can is no problem.
