Whilst I was walking on the path taking my daughter to school today. A man was also in front with his puppy. The dog pooed on the path and without meaning to sound so disgusting it was quite sloppy and to make it worse he allowed his older daughter to clear it up. She did so but not very well so there was still the remnants on the pavement and this would have been enough to soil someones shoes. Now to be realistic without carrying a bucket of water to rinse of the path there was not really alot else he could have done to clean it completely but it just got me thinking if he could get fined for it as there was enough left to walk into.

Crumbs, Karl had better not come to my house then, and OH and I have no objection at all to our hairy worktop.
lofty.... the first link is non reputable.......never heard of them...abracadabra stuff.

The second link is indeed reputable, but does not say anything about weakening our immune system but highlights changes in the susceptibility of organisms to antibiotics, claiming that antibiotic strains may be formed. That is quite different from saying that our immune systems are compromised, quite the opposite in fact in that our immune systems must change and strengthen to deal with the antibiotic resistant organisms.
LOL Boxtops. Our cat insists on having a glass of water on the worktop! I do clean it after her visits and before using it, but my cleaning is far from obsessive.
Lottie, one of mine will only eat his dinner if his dish is up there. I have however heard of Soap, and Water, and a Cloth.... we're not obsessive either, not remotely, and we're still very much alive.
maybe not infection but allergy?

we4ll done lottie, id have you on my debating team anytime.................. but i do have an issue re dog poo, this pup obviously had diarrohea, and a grassy area would have been less messy for the poo to be deposited, but i (a dog owner ) am disgusted by the amount of people who allow their dogs to poo anywhere and do not pick it up.
woofgang.......exactly. That is re educating the immune system, not weakening it.
Wow!!

Picnics in the countryside must be a real hoot wth Karl!
over cleanliness and protection is counter productive - as a child I can clearly remember being encouraged (thrown!) into a chicken hock because it ' was good for me' - I loved it, cuddled the chooks and enjoyed sharing my bed with dogs and cats, ducks and very many African baby animals. - have lost count of the times I've slept in a stable when a horse has been a bit iffy. a lot of kids today are mollkycoddled and if their immune system is being re-educated then maybe we are all due to live in sterile society. Sad
dog poo on toast for tea it is then.......
I have no problem with "after-smear" there is not a lot you can do about it in my opinion, they picked up the majority of the mess, given its consistancy they could not collect 100%. I would not berate them about it certainly.
Lottie, you think Karl has a problem - I think you're right

OCD anyone???
I think I need to go and wash, Karen..... how's your cat, today?
how dare any non pet lover say anything derogatory against our 4legged friends!!
personally id put down all big dogs, as theyd be too heavy to carry
Hi Boxy, Rufus is fine today - back to his usual tearaway self. I had a nap on the couch after tea yesterday and woke up with him attacking me :) I suppose it's just a matter of waiting and seeing how he goes, but so far so good. Thanks for your advice the other night and thanks for asking after the wee rascal x
;-))
Well I was going to post that I hope Karl never gets lost and has to be found by a search and rescue dog, or ever goes blind and needs the services of a guide dog, or tries importing drugs and gets sniffed by a sniffer dog(!), but to be honest, you really can't have a sensible discussion with someone who has such extreme views. Wonder if he has sanitised his keyboard and monitor after visiting Animals and Nature?
Love the link lankeela!..............lol..............
Karl, It was you buying crates of Femfresh for your wife wasnt it.
