Dot, do you not have an rspca centre that you can just walk in to? that's how we got Colin Cat.
some of those cats are older, how can people abandon them? The mind boggles

I think we must have but I was trying the cat rescue places first, but nor sure why they are being so slow to respond, maybe it's because it's the weekend,. sara

They get 'Fed up' of them when they get older & maybe don't want to play as much! Also the older cats are harder to rehome, most want kittens or young cats. I tell them cats can live to 20+
Id prefer an older cat.

One that sleeps all day infront of the fire, all preacefully :-)
The calico cat I have seen with the foster woman was about 5 I think she said, I'm looking for another cat to bring home with her at the same time, I like the look of that one called Tess.
Infact bugger it, wanna swap an old cat that sleeps all day for a jack russell dog that's quite frankly madder than a box of frogs?
Question Author
Oh dotty, Tess is lovely & one of the longest serving residents.
lol B00, that's what Jack Russells are like!
Is she? How do you think she would get along if she was to be homed with another cat at the same time, I love the expression and shape of her face,
That's what the rescue centre used to tell me Kat. I felt really sorry for the older cats and could happily have come home with them. I just knew it was unfair to my old lady who hated other cats (including my other cat!!!!).

My next door neighbours annoy me. They rehomed one of their cats just as he started to have problems, subsequently got rid of two others, which really were lovely cats. They still have one but I don't think they care about it because it is always here. If it wasn't for the fact that it is HORRIBLE to my baby girl I'd give it a home.
I wanted to call my daughter Tess Ceri May but my husband wouldn't let me grrrrrrr
she always says she's glad I didn't get my way though. The cat in Blackpool I have said I would like I am going to call Trisha.
I hope you find your kitties Dottie. If all else fails I will post Frankie down to you. That is him in my avatar.

There are two cats awaiting adoption at our local cat protection. One of them is "allergic to children" and the other must eat Felix out of a ceramic plate or he will get feline acne.

My two are all huddled up pretending to sleep but watching my every move - my hand may go near the cat treat tin.

kat - good work getting new homes for the cats.
Question Author
I'm not sure about Tess & other cats dotty you would have in enquire. My favourite one there is Audrey. She is gorgeous & very nosey. She came to us with other cats so is used to them. In fact she is now on her own as we rehomed her friend today.
Question Author
Thanks wolf, Frankie is gorgeous.
I felt a pang when you said Audrey's friend was rehomed. Years back I got a kitten from a pet shop (I know, I know now) and there were two cuddled together in the cage, but I could only take one. I still feel bad for leaving that other little kitten behind on her own....
Question Author
I have to be strong boxtops. Today we rehomed the last 3 kittens of a litter of 7 & that left mum on her home!!
Question Author
I meant on her own!
kat I am in awe of people like yourself that are working so hard to help these animals, you're a hero,
dotty, my daughter has just adopted two (lucky) kittens. She was told that they will stop all rehoming till after Christmas in the interest of the cats. So it may not be so easy just now.
