My Lovely female cat has a thing about licking supermarket carrier bags. Does anybody know why she does it? She is an indoor cat, maybe that has something to do with it, maybe? Thanks in advance.

There might be a coating on the bag - but it would be worth while having a word with your vet. Cats sense when they have deficiencies in vitamins, etc. - or she just might be remembering that once, she licked some food off a bag - cats have long memories! if you google other sites, it seems pretty common - not one I have thankfully experienced with any of my cats!
My Frankie is a plastic bag licker. I asked the vet about it and was told that animal oils were used in the manufacturing of the bags. It is seemingly a common habit.

My cat is exactly the same. He is picky though, he doesn't like Tesco bags.
