Dog underfoot

Anyone else have this problem?

I go to the toilet- the dog's there
I go to make a brew- the dogs there
I move a step- the dogs there.

I've lost count of the number of times today alone, ive trodden on her paws and twice tonight iv'e kicked her in the jaw as she's literally on the backs of my heels as im walking.

When im sat down- she's superglued to my side.

While it's largely endearing, I do find myself losing my temper occasionaly, especially when you can't even have a pee without a dog trying to sit on your knee at the same time!

Also- lastly, anyone else yell (then feel horribly mean) when you stand on their paws and they yelp?

Boo my dog drives me crackers with this......I've lost count of the times I've tripped over him as well (when sober)

Yes i know that alex, why it IS endearing, but sometimes it dont half irritate when they're a constant shadow, not only that im worried i'll crack her jaw when i'm walking and clump her one with my foot!

I'm now feeling slightly rotten as he wants to play fetch, I've pretended to throw the ball and hidden it......the dog is not happy.

Boo I live in a bungalow.......but I have tripped over him going down the steps outside.

Pinkilady thats very sad but also very sensible. It was probably jealous but you cant take the risk with kids around

I had to do the same with my previous dog Pinki- named Boo (and where my name's from).

I had him for 8 years and he really was the baby of the household. Sadly for him, Mini Boo came along and whilst we tried our best to make him still feel special, he hated her, which took an awful turn when she was about 2 or 3 and he bit her on her face.

I was going to have him put down, but couldn't bring myself to do it- luckily some friend of my mum took him on, but i still miss him.

When I clean my teeth he sneaks into the bathroom and sits under the washbasin. I rinse, go out and shut the bathroom door......then wonder where the dog is. He spent 2 hours locked in the garage once 'cos I didn't know he'd followed me in....I was going frantic by the time I found him.

boo dont look at this as a problem,she loves you and this is her way of showing it i go to the toilet and my lab follows me i go to the door and hes with me,i sit down in the chair and hes along side,i love him to bits and i think he feels the same,give her a pat from me,♥♥♥

Yep, on the way stairs, on the way into the kitchen, on the way down the stairs etc. Even worse now when I've got Lt Tiggs in my arms! They're not allowed upstairs anymore as I don't want them jumping in his cot.

Think it's easier if the child is there first pinki. Either that or i was extremely lucky (or not, after re-reading my original whinge!).

Missy is incredibly soft towards Mini Boo and puts up with everything she dishes out to her, though we're vigilant in watching them, and I rollock Mini Boo if i see her doing anything that looks like it could get out of hand or hurt Missy.
