Can anyone give me any tips/websites etc on breeding these birds also looking for breeding cages.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I'd go with "woofie's" lol advice too. A local canary club is where you find valuable info. Forget books, usually written by authors that have never kept birds.
If finance is a consideration and you can hold a hammer, buy some cage fronts from petshop or internet. Then you can build a breeding cage for less than half price.

I think "woofies" advice is halfway there ,I would also suggest that you buy young birds from someone at the club and don't buy yet , you will meet lots of new people and may be it won't be canaries you end up with , there are so many other birds kept in a similar way and once you have bought them you can expect them to live about 7 years
