Why would one of our kittens had a reaction to his second jab.. watery eyes - two days after jab was done...

We dont have him yet - was due to pick him up on Saturday but breeder is now reluctant to let him come home until she knows he is OK.

What would have caused this?
Is it anything to worry about?
Is he likely to get better quickly so I can still bring him home Saturday with his brother?

I'm really hoping I can still collect him Saturday! I have all of next week off work to settle them both in...
Fingers crossed!
It can happen Nosh. Quite a few animals can react to jabs as can humans. I think it is great that the breeder won't let him go until he is OK - shows she is a good breeder. He will be fine and is best with her until he fully well - probably only a couple of days.
There you go Nosh. Two very similar answers!! ;o)

And I didn't see Helen's. It wasn't there when I started my answer.

LOL. Yeah!! Just padded it out a bit!!
I had a dog who had a terrible reaction to a booster within 30 minutes of having it. I never risked her having another.
I managed to let the annual boosters for my Princess Merlin lapse and she had to have two, three weeks apart, this year. After the first she was quiet and grumpier than usual after the second she was hyper for a day or so.

She is back to her usual self - beating the cr4p out of her brother Frankie. I hope that your siblings are more loving towards each other than my two.
